Athens Creative Corner: “The Way I See the World”

“The Way I See the World”
by Patrick Hendrix

I look up to the sky; it gazes back down upon me

Are there other beings out there, or is planet Earth an anomaly?

The days go by, the nights lay still

In this ever-changing Universe, do we have a role to fill?

Surely it must be so,

Or perhaps such a thought, simply keeps us from feeling low

Each religion offers up an explanation

But in the end, no one really knows

Who made the rivers flow, or the bright moon glow, or the tall trees grow

So what is there to do, except hope for the best

Let fate take care of the rest

And survive another day,

With the hope that everything will be okay.
