The Piedmont University Women’s Golf Team enjoyed an outstanding fall season, earning strong finishes at multiple invitationals and collecting several individual and team honors along the way.
“We were focused on building a strong team culture this fall, and I think we’re in a great place,” said senior Erin Donovan. “We have so much talent this year. Right now, we’re fine-tuning our game, but I’m excited about what’s ahead in the spring.”
This season marks a new chapter for the Lady Lions as Head Coach Blake Watson takes over for former coach Hannah Satterfield.
“Coach Watson’s insight into the game of golf has helped me tremendously, both on and off the course,” said junior Keegan Goins.
“His arrival has been very uplifting, not just for me but for our entire team.”
With renewed energy and leadership, the Lady Lions are eager to make an impact in the USA South Conference this spring under Coach Watson’s guidance.

On the men’s side, the Piedmont men’s golf team continued its strong form this fall following an impressive NCAA Tournament appearance last spring.
“As a team, we learned what we’re capable of,” said freshman Braden Kiley. “We’re the best team in the country when we’re firing on all cylinders.”
The Lions plan to carry their fall momentum into the spring as one of the most formidable programs in the conference. Both teams will compete at the O’Briant-Jensen Invitational in Greensboro, North Carolina, on Oct. 27th and 28th.
