With formal fast approaching, there is the debate on if formal is the move or not. If you want to unwind and enjoy with your date or friends, then formal is the event you don’t want to miss.
Formal is an annual themed event Piedmont University’s Campus Activities Board (CAB) hosts every year for students to go and have fun. This year not only is CAB sponsoring the event, but the Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. will co-host the event. This means there will be more hands on deck to make this a successful event for students.
Some students might think that formal is just another high school prom; however, some students did not get to experience their high school prom. This is a great opportunity for those students to get the experience they missed. Another reason not to miss the event is that it is not on campus. Students are away from the campus environment, giving their minds a break from academics. In addition, with formal being outside of campus, students will be provided with a party shuttle, food and a variety of beverages.
This year the formal is themed masquerade; there will be barbecue, a live DJ, a cash bar, a 360 photo experience, masks and more entertaining activities. You can have fun with your date or friends, and even make new party friends. Put yourself first and have a distraction! Unwind and celebrate before finals come just around the corner.
Formal will be at the Cornelia Community House on March 28 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Ticket prices are $10 for one ticket and $15 for two tickets. The first 50 tickets sold get a free t-shirt. So save the date for formal on March 28 and go with your date or friends!
