On Nov. 11, eleven students in the music department traveled to Kennesaw State University School of Music to compete in the annual Georgia National Association of Teachers of Singing auditions.
Sophomore vocal performance major Chance Passmore placed first in category VIII B-1 (Second Year College Men).
“Everyone did such a wonderful job this year and none of us would have done as well as we did without the support of our vocal coaches and rockstar musicianship of our spectacular accompanists,” said Passmore.
Sophomore musical theatre major Aubrey Peat, placed second in category VII B-3 (Second Year College Women). This was Peat’s first time attending, but was very thankful for the opportunity.
“It was hard work and Dr. Price that made it happen,” said Peat.
“I am happy to report that the students sang beautifully and represented Piedmont College well, “ said Associate Professor of Music Andrea Price. “Please join us in congratulating these students on their achievements.”
