“Little Shop” in full swing

The cast list is up, blocking is in session, music rehearsals are in full swing, set construction has begun and the box office is now open.
The Piedmont College Department of Theatre is in full swing working on the upcoming spring musical, “Little Shop of Horrors.” This production will be the closing production of the 2013-2014 Mainstage season.
The cast and crew are working hard to put this production up.
The theatre department’s production of “Little Shop of Horrors” will be performed in the Black Box Theater in the Swanson Center.
Set designer Melanie Cassiday said, “Now having returned from spring break, the Piedmont College Department of Theatre is diving into the set construction.”
The cast is determined and dedicated to make this production the best it can be. They are hard at work memorizing the dialogue and blocking as well as learning the songs.
Stage manager Kallie Robinson said, “‘Little Shop of Horrors’ has been rehearsing five days a week, and we’re excited about the hard work we are putting in.”
If you want to attend this musical production the show will run Apr. 10-12 with performance each night at 7:30 p.m.
There will also be a matinee performance on April 13 at 2 p.m.
Reserving tickets ahead of time is highly recommended, as “Little Shop of Horrors” is a popular and well-known show. The box office is now open and taking reservations for those interested.

General admission is $5, but all Piedmont College faculty, staff and students are admitted for free.
