On Mar. 3, 2023, Morgan Wallen, an American country music artist, released his album “One Thing at a Time.”

Back in 2014, Wallen was a contestant on season six of the popular American reality music competition, “The Voice,” sparking his career. Wallen made it to the playoffs but, unfortunately, was eliminated from the show. However, this didn’t make Wallen want to quit music, it motivated him to continue. The show helped him gain connections in the music industry and establish his rise to fame.

Only a year after “The Voice,” Wallen found himself signing to the record label Big Loud Records in 2015. Once Wallen was signed, it was all gas, no breaks for him. His debut album, “If I Know Me,” was released in 2018. This album included the singles “Up Down,” “Whiskey Glasses” and “Chasin’ You.”

“If I Know Me” reached No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. Wallen then released his second album, “Dangerous: The Double Album,” in 2021. This album then became the only country album in the 64-year history of the Billboard 200 to spend its first seven weeks at No. 1. This album included the singles “More Than My Hometown,” “7 Summers” and “Wasted on You,” holding this spot for a total of ten weeks.

Wallen’s newest album, “One Thing at a Time,” has been breaking country music records like no other. According to Chart Data, “Morgan Wallen officially broke the record for biggest US streaming week for a country album, with over 315 million in 4 days. It surpasses Taylor Swift’s ‘Red (Taylor’s Version).’”

The 36-track set launches as Wallen’s third No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart, with the largest streaming week ever for a country album, as well as the biggest week in equivalent album units for any set, among all genres, in 2023. According to a report by Billboard,  76% of “One Thing at a Time’s” debut week consumption came from streaming. The project earned the biggest streaming week ever for a country album, with 498.28 million on-demand streams.  It’s also the fifth-largest streaming week ever for any album from any genre.

Wallen is currently on his world tour, “One Night at a Time.” For the next seven months, Wallen will travel to New Zealand, Australia and Canada, then back to the United States to play sold-out arenas performing his new album.
