The Piedmont College Debate Team competed in the “Chicken and Egg” IPDA Tournament at the University of North Georgia September 23-25 and brought home several awards. They competed in professional and novice divisions and won the following awards: 

Ray Hernandez: 

· IPDA novice quarter-finalist
· IPDA 5th place novice speaker
· IPDA ranked 8th seed novice

Justin Dyer:
· IPDA Novice Debut Debater Award

Piedmont alumni also won awards in the “professional” division:

· IPDA Professional semi-finalist
· IPDA Professional Debut Debater Award

Sam Thomas: 
· 2016 NPDA Best Critic Award
