Ahhh, the glory days. Most of us wish we could go back to our childhood for a multitude of reasons.  Times were simpler, we were carefree and everything seemed to be better—especially the television shows.

Like many other 90’s babies, Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon were life for me.  Most of my time was spent watching shows like “Hey Arnold,” “CatDog,” “Dragonball Z,” “Animaniacs” and more.

Now that I’m older, I look at these cartoons as classics and probably the best cartoons ever to air.

I sometimes find myself reminiscing on the good ol’ days and wonder whatever happened to these shows.

The only way to watch them is to go hunt them down on DVD or stay up extremely late in hopes to see the rare ones that still show in the middle of the night.

Flipping through today’s cartoons, I just can’t help but to hope that one day they will bring back the shows we all once so dearly loved and cherished.

Can you imagine turning on the television one day and seeing your childhood favorites being replayed on screen?

For me, the list of shows I would love to see come back is quite extensive.

“Real Monsters” was amongst my favorite shows as a kid.  When you’re a kid, this show can have a scary quality to it.  I mean, it is about monsters, after all.

The show is about three monsters who are pals in school, and it takes us through their life as they are studying the art of scaring humans.

This show gave me so many laughs as a kid, and I wouldn’t mind seeing it come back.

Courage the Cowardly Dog was utterly terrifying to many kids, but that is what set the show apart from the others.

I don’t know why, but there was something thrilling about being scared that made me come back and watch episode after episode.

While this show is on Netflix, I would love to see new episodes.

It’s always fun to watch Courage take on some supernatural being in order to save his master Muriel.

My all-time favorite show is, hands down, The Powerpuff Girls.  I idolized those three girls and wanted to be Bubbles so bad.

I even had a life-sized pillow of Blossom that had a slit in the back for whatever reason, and I remember putting that on my head and running around pretending I was a Powerpuff Girl.

As a little girl, this show made me think anything was possible, even flying.

I admit that I will occasionally re-watch the show just to get back a part of my childhood.

When I heard about the remaking of the show that is suppose to air next month, I was surprisingly not happy.

While I would love for the show to make a comeback, the remake doesn’t stand a chance to be as good as the original show.

“You stupid babies!”  This famous line comes from Angelica in the show the Rugrats.

This cartoon showed viewers what the world is like from a baby’s perspective.   It showed that the world can be huge, scary and sometimes mysterious for a baby.

The show is centered around a little boy named Tommy who has a group of very close pals, and they make everyday an adventure.

All in all, this show helped spark my imagination and made me want to see the world through the Rugrats’ eyes.

Tons of 90’s kids grew up watching this group of babies, and we even watched them grow up in the later version of the Rugrats, which was called All Growed Up.

After years of watching Tommy and the gang go on countless adventures, it was bitter-sweet to see them grown up and making their way to their adult lives.

This show (which one- referred to two. Make this clear) is an all-time favorite for many, and I wouldn’t be the only happy one if this show made another appearance.

There are still so many great shows that have simply faded away that I would be ecstatic to see come back.

Shows like Johnny Bravo, The Ren and Stimpy Show, Rocko’s Modern Life, Cow and Chicken, Ed Edd and Eddy and Dexter’s Laboratory.

Gradually, these shows began to fade and so did my childhood.  With each show that got discontinued, I grew up a little more.
