The Piedmont women’s soccer team is aiming for a standout 2025 season following last year’s CCS Semifinal loss to Belhaven.
“Our team chemistry is great. It’s what’s led us to this hot start,” said junior midfielder Adriana Blumer. “We’re having fun, the energy’s been good, and that’s helped us get the results we want.”
Despite finishing 7-6-4 last season, the Lady Lions return with key players back. They aren’t just aiming to compete; they want to win the CCS Championship.
“It would be amazing to win it this year,” said senior defender Sierra Judson. “With our program, we don’t go more than two years without a championship. This is the year to keep that tradition alive.”
Winning is the standard in Demorest, and with expectations high from players, coaches, and fans, the Lady Lions are determined to bring another title home.
On the men’s side, the Lions are embracing new beginnings after a 7-9-2 finish in 2024 and a first-round CCS Tournament exit to Asbury.
This year’s team boasts depth across the field, providing Coach Jimmy Stephens with multiple lineup options that can throw opponents off.
“Our depth this year is unlike any I’ve seen,” said senior forward Colin Vogel. “We’ve got 2-3 players at every position who can step up.”
With a 1-1 start and nine home games ahead, the Lions hope to leverage that schedule into a deep postseason run.
