The 2024-2025 school year is quickly coming to an end.
Piedmont University’s student-run campus activities board (CAB) had a variety of fun activities and events on campus this school year. Members on the board include President Hannah Franks, Vice President Collin Sheeler, Olivia Carpenter, Amelia Esther, Bryn White, Hadden Carswell, Christina Aleman and Bella Caccamo. CAB’s club sponsor is Cat Wiles, Piedmont’s director of student life.
Some of CAB’s biggest events this year included the Slip N Slide, Grocery Bingo, Open Mic Night, Create-a-Critter, Bonfire night, Grab & Go, Egg Hunt, Hypnotist night with Brian Imbus, Late Night Rodeo, Formal and many more fun and entertaining events.
CAB’s President, Hannah Franks, favorite event this year was Late Night Rodeo. “I rode the bull at least twice and I just think it’s such a variety of things, like you had the mechanical bull for people that wanted to enjoy that, then you also had little carnival prizes, food was provided for those who just wanted to chill and overall it was a lot more fun than our usual craft events,” said Franks.
CAB’s Vice President, Collin Sheeler’s top three events this year were the Slip N Slide, Late Night Rodeo and Late Night Breakfast, even though it was not an event hosted by CAB.
Amelia Esther’s was the Slip N Slide. “The Slip N Slide was so much fun,” said Esther.
Some Piedmont students also had their top favorite CAB event this year.
Emaline Rault said her favorite CAB event was the hypnotist night with Brian Imbus. “I never had seen anything like it, and he guessed my first car,” said Rault.
Create-a-Critter was the most favorite event this year among students.
Overall, CAB has hosted numerous events this year with a variety of different activities, crafts, fun and themes.
