Early this morning, Piedmont University announced that they will be adding a Chick-fil-A in the commons to add on to meal plans next year.
Students can simply use a meal swipe to get a Chick-fil-A sandwich and fries or other meal options. Other larger colleges typically offer more extensive food courts, so the addition of the southern classic on Piedmont’s campus will be a breath of fresh air.
Dining options at Piedmont are already few and far between, with Farmhouse being the most popular one close to campus. The new Chick-fil-A will offer familiar options without students having to drive to Cornelia to the standalone restaurant.
Students who heard the news before it broke were extremely excited for their new option.
“I think a lot of students are looking forward to having another option on campus. The new Chick-Fil-A on campus is another great option… it’ll also be great for people who don’t have time to sit and eat but would want to order and go,” said an anonymous source.
It has been a long wait, but the expansion of Piedmont’s dining options is happening – and it all starts with Chick-fil-A. The delicious chicken that so many enjoy will be the start of a beautiful time for all Piedmont students.
