Looking for fun, festive activities on St. Patrick’s Day in North Georgia?
The North Georgia area will be hosting St. Patrick’s Day festivities.
Downtown Blue Ridge will host their annual St. Patrick’s Day parade on March 15, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at East Main St. & West Main St. Blue Ridge, GA 30513. This is a family-friendly event with live performances by Blue Ridge Pipes & Drums. St. Patrick’s Day attire is encouraged.
After the parade event, the Blue Ridge Irish Pub will be open to enjoy delicious food, live music and Irish cider. Local shops are also open for some Irish-themed gifts. Additionally, there is a train ride through the Chattahoochee National Forest along the Toccoa River.
Athens-Clarke County will host its “Keepin’ It Green and Brew-Tiful” event on March 17, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 265 Newton Bridge Rd. “Keepin’ It Green and Brew-Tiful” is a family-friendly event to raise funds to help keep Athens-Clarke County beautiful (KACCB), a nonprofit organization providing support and education to maintain the environment clean.
The “Keepin’ it Green and Brew-Tiful” event will include live music from DJ LaDarius Thomas, Homy’s Kitchen Food truck, an Irish dance performance by The Carpenter Academy, The Athen’s Piper and a costume contest. The event will also have a raffle and the possibility of dunking a “local superstar.” The funds from this event will also help plant golden daffodils and crape myrtles to keep the county beautiful.
Conyers St. Patrick’s Day parade will kick off March 17, at 5 p.m. in Conyers, Georgia. This is a family-friendly event, but no vehicles are allowed at the parade. There will be a child’s crowning, a best-dressed pet, a leprechaun look-alike contest, live music and great food trucks.
A St. Patrick’s Day market will be held on March 13 from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 5210 Railroad Ave, Flowery Branch, GA 30542. There will be live music, local shop vendors, delicious food and fun games for children.
