Twelve Piedmont students took a brief field trip to Minnehaha Falls for a nature photography assignment.
“It’s always great when students can get out of the classroom and apply their skills out in the field,” said Joe Dennis, associate professor of mass communications and photojournalism professor. “Piedmont’s campus is nestled in so much beautiful nature. It’s so awesome to explore.”
Students were prompted to shoot photos that covered eight prompts:
- Creating depth
- Utilizing light in a unique way
- Captures a wide perspective
- Captures contrast
- Captures movement
- Uses water as a mirror
- Captures animals in their natural environment
