Piedmont students have found a new favorite dog on campus! President Marshall Criser and his wife, Kimberly Criser, got a new puppy this Summer named Hamish. Although Hamish is only a few months old, he has already stolen the hearts of many students and staff members.
Sophomore athletic training major, Dana Davis, said, “I absolutely love Hamish Criser. Every time I see him I say hello and typically end up sitting on the ground to pet him as long as the person walking him will let me.”
Angelica Aponte, a sophomore forensic science major also shared her love for the puppy saying, “Hamish is such a ball of energy! Anytime he sees people he’s making a run towards them. He loves to be pet, played with, and wants all the attention.”
Although Hamish is the most known Criser dog, he is not the only one. The Crisers also have two older dogs, Honey and Gauge, who are both adorable, just like Hamish. When asked why he wanted to get another puppy, President Criser said, “Several years ago, we got another English Crème Golden Retriever (Woodrow) who our youngest daughter kidnapped when she started Grad School. I have wanted another one ever since then.”
Hamish is an energetic and lively puppy who loves attention from anyone who is willing to give it. He always makes an effort to go and say hello to whoever he sees while on his walks. Many of the Piedmont family already adore the young pup and always stop to give him the attention that he always love to be in the middle of.
