As Thanksgiving comes around the corner, IT’S TIME for the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is upon us. Do you know what that means? The start of Christmas music!
Some people despise Christmas music, but I’m not that person. Who doesn’t love to hear artists talk about the most magical season that only comes once a year? I do! One of the classics is Mariah Carey’s classic Christmas song “All I Want for Christmas Is You” or Brenda Lee’s “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree.” Christmas music creates memories that will last forever. Christmas music will make you smile, hum, and savor every note.
One of the main reasons I love Christmas music is singing and sharing an experience with family and friends. There’s something about singing with your friends about the holidays, which is a special moment. I know we all sing other songs in the car with friends, but once you hear the bells ringing or a festive tune come on in your shuffle. You know there is a magical song about to come up, and it is time to sing your heart out! That is something special that you will cherish for a while.
Whenever the calendar hits November, that is the perfect time to start listening to Christmas music. This type of music reminds me that the holidays are a couple of weeks away, and I can’t wait to spend time with family and friends. These songs have to make us feel safe and warm because we have been through some ups and downs in life. Letting a song remind us that there is joy in the world, and I believe that is a special gift we can get at Christmas.
So start queuing up or making a playlist because Christmas music is wonderful! If you haven’t started listening, what are you doing?! Start right now! If you have been listening, make your friends start listening, and you keep listening to Christmas music! Remember one thing: don’t stop listening to Christmas music. Surely I won’t.
