The 67th Annual Grammy Awards nominations have been released, compiling some of the best artists, recordings and compositions in the music industry and celebrating them together. The timeframe for pieces to be nominated was from Sept. 16, 2023 up until Aug. 30, 2024, and the award ceremony will be on Feb. 2, 2025. On Nov. 8, nominations for a multitude of categories were released, 94 in all, and this is the largest number of categories since 2010, when there were 109 categories in total. Three new categories were added for this cycle, with them being Best Alternative Jazz Album, Best African Music Performance and Best Pop Dance Recording.
Beyoncé led the way with nominations this year, winning 11 in total. Here are the top 8 nominees from this year:

These 11 nominations helped boost Beyoncé past her husband, Jay-Z, for most total nominations. Paul McCartney and the late Quincy Jones round out the top 4 for total nominations, as well as being the only four artists or producer’s to accumulate 80 or more nominations.

Album of the Year was headlined by some of the most recognizable names in the music industry, including Beyoncé, Sabrina Carpenter, Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan and Taylor Swift. All five of these artists also have songs nominated for Song of the Year, being joined by the duo of Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga, Kendrick Lamar, and solo artist Shaboozey.
Best New Artist has some stacked competition this year, with the likes of Benson Boone, Sabrina Carpenter, Raye and Chappell Roan headlining the award. Best Pop Solo Performance carries the prominent four names of this year’s edition of Sabrina, Beyoncé, Billie Eilish and Chappell Roan, but the addition of “Apple” by Charli XCX is the favorite to win the award so far.
Best Country Album of the year features two well-known pop artists, Post Malone and Beyoncé, and both Beyoncé and Shaboozey doubled up on Song of the Year and Country Song of the Year.
