Local restaurant Don Fily’s has closed its doors. A new place to eat Mexican food, Tinoco’s TNT, will replace it.
The Piedmont family wondered why Don Fily’s closed down without warning. However, with the place empty, a new business is taking over where Don Fily’s once was.
Britta Stamberger, the fiancée of Miguel Tinoco, said, “A friend introduced this location to Tinoco and his former partner. They got Don Fily’s started back in 2022.”
“We are excited for the second chapter of Tinoco’s TNT to be brought closer to a more centralized area of Habersham County,” Stamberger said.
Tinoco’s TNT originates from Turnerville and has been running for a year. At this point, they are taking the necessary steps to move up by placing a new location for their food.
We offer more than just street tacos—we create a variety of flavors in each of our Mexican dishes, such as loaded nachos, burritos, rice bowls, tortas and even a taco salad built to your taste buds’ desire,” Stamberger said.
Tinoco’s TNT is expected to open in mid-November, though Stamberger noted this depends on future requirements. Once they’re settled in at the Chevron station, they may consider offering a Piedmont discount, but they will first need time to get established.
As this is in the works, stay up to date with Tinoco’s TNT on their social media. Follow their Instagram @tinocotnt and Facebook @tinocostnttacosnachostortas to get updates on when they will open for the public.
