Hulu just released a new show that has sent so many viewers wanting to see more from the famous Utah Mormon wives.
“According to The Wrap, the series has become Hulu’s most watched unscripted season premiere this year, beating out the most recent series of The Kardashians,” said Cosmopolitan Magazine.
The new show starts with a group of Mormon moms living in Utah with a popular TikTok account called “MomTok.” As a group, they all come together and make content, as this is what most of their viewers want to see. However, after an incident with one of the moms, there starts to become drama in the group and division within the moms.
The reason for the split up was when one of the moms, Taylor Frankie Paul, went on TikTok live and exposed why she and her husband were getting a divorce, which then painted the rest of the moms in a new light by fans. The other moms started to distrust Taylor, and everything went downhill from there. Senior Anna Lassiter, who watched the show, also didn’t really like Taylor.
“I did not like Taylor at the beginning. I thought she acted like a teenager and made bad decisions,” says Anna Lassiter.
But eventually the moms are able to forgive Taylor and become friends again in the group. But now the group is deciding who will be the leader of Momtok, as Taylor was considered the leader before the drama split them up. Taylor and another mom, a part of the group Whitney, are fighting for the leadership role in the mom group. But eventually Whitney leaves the mom friend group because she can’t handle the drama anymore. The drama dies down when Whitney leaves the friend group, and the moms then decide to continue the group without Whitney and without a leader, making the group have less drama, too.
That is until they decide to go to Las Vegas for one of the girls’ birthdays. They all decide to go to a peep show, which causes some of the husbands to get mad because they feel like the moms cheated on them. However, that is not the case because some of them didn’t know this was what they were attending as it would be a surprise. So, Taylor and Demi, another mom in the group, leave the show so that Demi’s husband and Taylor’s boyfriend do not get mad, but they resolve their issues overnight, so everything turns out fine in the end.
Overall, the show is very interesting, to say the least, with the drama of MomTok and this group of women trying to reinvent what it means to live a “Mormon life.” As you get deeper into the show, you get hooked on all the juicy gossip the moms talk about, so if you are into shows that involve tons of drama, then you will definitely enjoy “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.”
