Fresh off a rap beef and the chart-topping single “Not Like Us”, it has been confirmed that Kendrick Lamar will be headlining the 2025 Super Bowl. The announcement was made via Lamar’s X account on Sept. 8, which currently has 218.8 thousand likes.
“I feel as Kendrick is a solid pick to perform at the superbowl as he has kept himself relevant through the years and has had one of the more popular songs of 2024,” said Senior Nick Griffin.
Known for hits like “HUMBLE,” “All the Stars” and “Money Trees,” the 37-year-old Compton rapper has a large discography to pull from. Three of his five studio albums have reached the #1 spot on the U.S. charts, and all 5 albums have a minimum of gold certification from the RIAA. He has several awards, including a Pulitzer prize for his 2017 album “DAMN.”
Lamar has previously appeared in the Super Bowl as a part of Dr. Dre’s “Dre Day” set from 2022, where he performed the songs “Alright” and “m.A.A.d city.”
The Super Bowl kicks off Sunday, February 9th at 6:30 ET. It will be held in Caesars Superdome in New Orleans and is the 11th Super Bowl set in the city since the franchise was established in 1967. It will be broadcast on Fox, or you will be able to stream it on Fubo.
