In the February edition of The Roar, the new restaurant opening in downtown Demorest called Holden Oversoul Kitchen & Oyster Bar was announced. Students at Piedmont University have since been anticipating the opening of this unique, fascinating restaurant.
Holden Oversoul Kitchen opened its doors on May 11 of this year. The restaurant captured the eyes and mouths of Piedmont students and the rest of Habersham County.
Holden Oversoul Kitchen specializes in seafood. A big draw-in of the new restaurant is the in-house oyster bar, which serves an almost endless amount of oysters for their customers to enjoy. The oyster bar offers a wide variety of oysters, such as fried oysters, steamed oysters, firecracker oysters, parmesan oysters and much more.
The restaurant offers other seafood items, such as lobster bisque, shrimp trout and crab cakes. The restaurant’s seafood dishes are cooked to perfection, and the presentation is top-notch. They also offer a variety of sides and appetizers, such as french fries and hush puppies.
Holden Oversoul Kitchen offers more than just seafood. Their highlights include chicken tenders, pork, steaks and burgers.
Holden Oversoul Kitchen is also committed to its ideals of sustainable food practices.
“We have a farm-inspired menu where we use local farms, such as beef from Clarksville and produce from my farm,” stated Jamie Allres, owner and head chef of the restaurant. “All of our produce is grown naturally without chemicals and pesticides. We are practically organic!”
While the restaurant’s prices may be high for students, the establishment is introducing something special for Piedmont students and faculty. Piedmont students and staff who show their ID will receive 15% off their bill every Thursday.
If you aren’t able to snatch a table on a Thursday, they also offer 15% off during their happy hour, which runs from 8:00 to 9:00 on Tuesday through Saturday.
This special offer presented by Holden Oversoul Kitchen is a great way to support a local business and enjoy a delicious meal at a discounted price. It’s also a great way to socialize with other Piedmont students and faculty. Customers have the option to order online, or they can call the restaurant to make a reservation for one of their tables. What are you waiting for? Stop by Holden Oversoul Kitchen today to relax and enjoy a delicious meal!
