CAB, also known as the Campus Activities Board, releases surveys at the beginning and end of each semester to gauge which events the students at Piedmont enjoy. Based on the previous survey, the students at Piedmont love CAB’s Grocery Bingo event. Because of its extreme popularity, CAB now hosts this event once a semester.
Grocery Bingo allows students to play bingo with their friends while also winning grocery items as prizes. The new CAB President, Hannah Franks, and the rest of the student workers in CAB helped set up this event.
“Grocery Bingo is different from other events because students get the opportunity to win free food and prizes; it helps support student life as well, which is what CAB is all about,” said Franks.
CAB started preparing for the event by buying groceries like paper towels, cereal and other useful items. They also prepare flyers to hang around the school so the students know more about the event. Hannah also mentions that it helps to learn what students like so that they can get students to come back and new ones to attend.
The event was very successful for CAB as over 200 students attended the event. So many students came to the event that they ran out of bingo cards to give to students. Overall, the event was very successful for CAB, and if you missed it, there will be another one next semester.
