At the end of each year, production companies, actors and directors start teasing new movies that are releasing the next year. Social media, YouTube advertisements, and television commercials are filled with trailers in hopes to convince you to go see new movies. It can be overwhelming and easy to forget these movies after being shown so many, so quickly.

Here is a list of six of the most anticipated movies that are being released in 2024:

• IF: IF is planned for a release date of May 17, 2024. IF follows a girl who goes on a magical adventure to reconnect forgotten “IFs” with their kids after she discovers that she can see everyone’s imaginary friends.
• Inside Out 2: This movie is expected to hit theaters on June 14, 2024. Inside Out 2 revolves around the same character, Riley, and her emotions Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust. However, as Riley becomes a teenager, new emotions show up. The new emotions are Anxiety, Envy, Ennui, and Embarrassment.
• Deadpool & Wolverine: Deadpool & Wolverine is expected to be released on July 26, 2024. These two Marvel icons team up to battle a mutual enemy after Wolverine comes across Deadpool while he is recovering from various injuries.
• Beetlejuice Beetlejuice: Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is planned to release on  September 5, 2024. After a family tragedy, three generations of the Deets family go back to Winter River, which is still haunted by Beetlejuice. Lydia’s daughter discovers a mysterious portal to the afterlife and mayhem ensues.
• Joker: Folie à Deux: This film is expected to release on October 4, 2024. While incarcerated at Arkham State Hospital, Arthur Fleck meets the love of his life, Harley Quinn.
• Wicked: Wicked will hit the theater screens on November 27, 2024. A young woman who is often misunderstood for her green skin named Elphaba becomes unlikely friends with Glinda. Glinda is a student who has a desire to be popular. They soon reach a crossroad in their relationship as their lives start to take different routes after an encounter with the Wizard of Oz.

There are many more movies that are projected to be released in 2024, but these are the ones that have been promoted and discussed the most on social media.
