Piedmont University has been going through as years go by and on August 22nd Piedmont had a ribbon cutting and open house to the new Speech and Language Clinic. The clinic is one of a kind located in the heart of Habersham County. The clinic is a state-of-the-art facility that serves patients of all ages, addressing a wide variety of communication and swallowing issues. The clinic’s affiliation with Piedmont University ensures that patients receive the very latest research-based care available. Not only do they treat patients but they also research and discover new forms of treatments to help in the future. Some elective/specialty services include accent management, gender affirming speech and voice training, video stroboscopic voice evaluations, endoscopic swallowing evaluations, and orofacial-myofunctional therapy. Currently the clinic is accepting new patients so you can call 706-776-0121 and schedule an appointment. The clinic is located at 4020 Demorest-Mount Airy Highway Demorest, GA 30535 and their business hours are, Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Evening appointments are available by request and weekends the clinic is closed.
