Men’s Basketball Season Preview
October 13, 2022
The men’s basketball team is getting ready to get back on the court for their 2022-2023 season.
“I expect this season to be the best one yet,” says junior Noah Reardon. “We have what it takes to win a national championship.”
Last season the lions didn’t get the results they wanted, going 9-16 overall and 3-9 in conference.
The lions will be looking to replace graduated senior Jordan Foote. Foote was awarded All-USA South West Division Second team. He also led the lions in scoring and rebounds averaging 14.9 points per game and 8.7 rebounds.
“This year we have multiple transfers and freshman that can really help us out and go far. I am excited to see where this year takes us and look forward to a great year,” says Reardon.
This season the lions are welcoming six freshman and five transfers to the team. With 11 new players joining the team, coach Greg Neeley is looking for these players to really make an impact out on the court.
The lions will start their season at Emory University on Nov. 8 at 7:30 p.m.
