We asked our students to voice their opinions on the anonymous social media apps Fizz and YikYak and which they thought was more fit for campus life. Here’s what each of them had to say:

“I love YikYak more, but I’m a big fan of the anonymous nature of the apps.”

“I think it’s good for us to use [Fizz] to speak our minds without having to worry about people knowing who we might be.”

“I look at YikYak more, so I think it’s better. You have your own free space where nobody knows who you are.”

“I say Fizz is better because the activity level on Fizz is higher while being more user-friendly.”

“YikYak is better because the posts are funny, and it’s also nice to see some positive comments on there.”
