5 ways to get involved on campus

NICOLE THOMAS/ Staff writer

For anyone who is looking to get more involved around campus, there are more ways to do so than you might believe. Here are a few ideas for those who need to find a way to occupy their time on campus:

  1. Go to RA events

Not only are RA events fun to go to, but they’re a great way to hang out with friends and meet new ones. By going to RA events, you can earn L.O.L points, which can go towards the end of the semester League of Lions’ auction. You can download the Piedmont events app to look at upcoming RA events.

  1. Go hiking with the outdoors club

Going hiking is a great way to get exercise and to de-stress. The outdoor club takes several hikes throughout the semester and invites anyone interested to join.

  1. Go to a yoga class

Yoga is another great way to get exercise and to get L.O.L points. Yoga meets every Monday at 12 p.m. and 5:15 p.m., Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. and Thursday at 7 p.m.

  1. Go to CAB events

CAB has meetings once a month and they plan events on campus. One event that I recently went to was tubing and hiking at Stone Mountain. It was a lot of fun and I only had to pay five dollars to go. This is a cheap and easy way to enjoy time with friends or make new ones.

  1. Watch and/or audition for plays and musicals

Piedmont puts on amazing productions throughout the school year. They recently put on “The Foreigner.” It was a very funny play and they did a phenomenal job, so you could have the chance to be a part of the next play if you want to get involved with the theater department.
